The CIEC Certification is without any doubt one of the nation’s highest mold and indoor air quality related certifications. Most mold certifications require nothing more than two days of simple classes in a hotel conference room and a simple test in that same room. You can verify our certification by clicking here.
In strict contract to the above, the CIEC certification requires 8 years of experience, or 8 years of education, or a combination of relevant experience and secondary science education that adds up to a total of eight years. There is quite obviously a big difference between a certification that was two days in the making and one that was 8 years in the making.
In addition to strict prerequisites, a rigorous exam taken at a proctored testing center is required. Your local mold inspector Daryl Watters received a 85 on his CIE exam in 2004 and a 96.6 on his even harder CIEC exam in 2015.

Conducted mold testing in Palm Beach at the 15,000 sf mansion complex of a well established property developer and builder. He build one of Flagler Boulevards most iconic buildings. His own home was experiencing musty odors. This clients daughter was getting sick. The issue was mold in the AC units and an ozone generating device that had been forgotten about and hidden inside his daughters AC ducts, this was in 2011.
Conducted indoor air quality testing in one of the worlds most famous movie stars central Florida home. This famous actor has been in movies since the 1970’s. The problem was ozone generating lights in several AC units creating metallic or bleach like ozone odors. This was around 2009.
Did a mold inspection in the Cutler Ridge area house /recording studio of a famous singer who is the son of a famous singer. Negative pressure combined with builder related defects caused hot humid outdoor air to be pulled into wall voids. This warm wet outdoor air condensed inside the wall. The condensation caused Stachybotrys mold infestations and strong moldy odors.

We conducted a mold inspection at the roughly 10,000 sf Cutler Ridge area home of the above referenced singers sister. She to is a famous singer as well as fashion designer for the families well known trademark merchandise.

Mangrove swamp view from a multi million dollar Ocean Reef Club condo in North Key Largo. We did mold testing at this property on two different dates.
Did Palm Beach mold testing in the 10,000 square foot mansion of a very famous singer. Excessive humidity was coming in from outside, also rodent allergens were being sucked into an open AC return plenum in the attic. The allergens appeared to result in allergic reactions in two family members.

Conducted mold inspections at an eighty thousand (80,000) square foot government building in the Caribbean. The building was contaminated with Stachybotrys mold hidden in nearly all of it’s 18 massive air handler closets. The mold was due to prolonged roof leaks. 4-19-03 to 4-21-03.

Conducted two residential house mold inspections in Abaco Bahamas. The homes experienced leakage from a hurricane.

Inspected a 7000 square foot Martin County house owned by the president of a New York / New Jersey Port Authority construction company. The company was heavily involved with the world trade center construction and clean up. The house experienced mold, moldy odors, and leakage from hurricanes Francis, Jean, and Wilma. 10-31-05 to 11-2-05.
Multi-million dollar Fischer Island condo owned by the president of a major Entertainment Company. His condo experienced light but widespread growth of Aspergillus mold on many personal belongings as the result of humidity problems. The humidity was pulled in from outside.

Inspected a North Palm Beach condo owned by the president of a race car establishment. The problem was humidity entrainment because of the AC unit. The AC was located in an outdoor closet. The humidity entrainment resulted in severe mold problems in the AC ductwork.

Around the same time we conducted mold testing and inspections at the Palm Beach Gardens home of a famous retired race car driver and owner of a very well known auto supply distributor.

Did a mold inspection of an entire 20,000 SF bank under construction in North Florida near Tallahassee. Extensive heavy wide spread Stachybotrys mold contamination was under insulation on all perimeter walls. This toxic black mold was the result of prolonged roof leakage due to construction delays.
