Lady reacting to foul odors. A common sign of indoor air problems in need of home air testing services like those provided by our company.

OUR AIR TESTING SERVICES

In addition to common mold tests, we also offer additional more advanced home testing services. Such services includes allergen testing, bacteria testing on surfaces, bacteria testing in air, and chemical testing.

Not everyone provides such services, but at A Accredited Mold Inspection Service we provide such services when deemed necessary. Having access to such services may be a great asset to you, because sometimes air contaminates other than mold can be the cause of your health problems.

Advances home testing is done for an extra fee, and only done if you agree to have such services conducted.

REASONS TO TRUST OUR ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING SERVICE

 EXPERIENCE

1) You cannot trust your valuable property and health to experienced hands. We have been providing reliable commercial and residential air testing services since 2003 with many satisfied clients. We have the experience you have been looking for.

MOLD INSPECTION AND AIR TESTING CERTIFICATIONS

2) When using A Accredited Inspection Service you will be hiring an air testing service that is properly certified.

The CIEC Certification is without any doubt one of the nation’s highest mold and indoor air quality related certifications. Most mold certifications require nothing more than two days of simple classes in a hotel conference room and a simple test in that same room. You can verify our certification by clicking here.

The CIEC certification requires 8 years of experience, or 8 years of education, or a combination of relevant experience and secondary science education that adds up to a total of eight years. There is quite obviously a big difference between a certification that was two days in the making and one that was 8 years in the making.

In addition to strict prerequisites, a rigorous exam taken at a proctored testing center is required. Your local mold inspector Daryl Watters received a 85 on his CIE exam in 2004 and a 96.6 on his even harder CIEC exam in 2015.

Let’s Not Go Overboard with Too Much Testing

Though more testing can be better when needed, it is not necessary to go overboard. Do not opt for every test we offer. It is mandatory that you discuss with the inspector specific advances tests, if any are best. This must be done over the phone prior to his arrival.

Excessive un-planned air testing can be a major distraction from the inspector’s other important tasks like the visual inspections.

You can read more about too much testing here.

When To Choose Additional Testing Services

Examples

  1. If your inspector happens to smell strong paint odors, chemical odors, or odors from new building materials, he may recommend additional tests in the form of air quality testing for chemicals.2) If newly installed engineered wood is observed he may recommend formaldehyde testing.

3) If mold is suspected or observed then a mold test may be recommended.

4) Allergen testing may be recommended if allergen sources such as evidence of rodents or roaches are observed.

5) If you have had specific bacterial infections or fungal infections, then viable testing can be done.

If you have reasons to suspect a specific contaminate let the inspector know ahead of time. Advanced notice must be made days prior to the inspector’s arrival so he can arrive fully prepared.

More About Advanced Notice Requirements

Tests pertaining to various contaminates all require an additional fee and an they require advanced notice. We cannot show up and start testing for everything under the sun. Some tools such as petri dishes for viable mold testing have to be special ordered from the lab. These dishes have a limited shelf life. Separate petri dishes for viable bacteria sampling have to be preordered ahead of time for the same reason. Other specialty testing tools for specific gases may have to be rented. The inspector will not have every imaginable tool with him at all times. So once again, please let us know if you have specific testing needs that you know of.

Costs

Mold inspection may cost $600.00 and other additional testing may be an additional $600.00 or more for each set of tests. Read more about air quality testing fees here.
