The Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant certification is one of the most difficult to obtain, and one of the most respected certifications available. As a result of these requirements, the most qualified mold inspectors in your area are certified by the ACAC.  The CIE certification is by far one of the most difficult to obtain, and one of the most respected certifications in the industry. Any owner, manager, or employee of a company actively engaged in Indoor Air Quality related disciplines can take the exam. Such individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications: A high school diploma PLUS: Either 2 years’ experience in a field related to the IAQ industry, or a post-secondary education with at least 15 science credits and also a minimum of one (1) year documented field experience conducting indoor air quality investigations is required.

The Mc Crone Research Institute (McRI) is a Chicago, Illinois not-for-profit corporation. The organization is dedicated to teaching and research in applied microscopy. The Institute is fully equipped with all resources necessary for industrial, forensic and practical microscopy and training.
